pricing

I wish I could just give a rough estimate, but the truth is is that it's hard to define a single number. Pricing depends on the size of the piece and the amount of details you would like. But all prices are negotiable within reason. I also incorporate the piece (if not given to me) and supplies into the total. This is also determined by the size of the piece, and what finishes or priming that I have to do as well.
After determining the price with you, I will also ask for half of the total cost up front. This will ensure me that if you decide you do not like your piece that I will be compensated for the materials, and time loss. However, I will work with you though if you aren't happy with something. I will try my best to make your ideas come to life.

Rough Estimate Example:

Paintings: 16x20- around $75-200 dollars depending on details, time etc.

shipping

I will ship pieces, but this also has to be paid by the customer. You can look up shipping prices off of any shipping service that you would like. I don't know regulations for shipping so this will have to be looked up at a shipping site as well. Also, if something is lost or damaged through a shipping service, money cannot be returned unfortunately. This is a VERY rare occasion, I've never personally have had it happened to me.

restrictions

I also have some restrictions as an artist. I haven't mastered the art of portrait painting, but I can draw portraits with pencil. I also do not use oil pastels or charcoal.  These aren't the best mediums to use for longevity anyway. I am not familiar with oil paints either, but I am practicing. Oil paints take a long time to dry in between layers, so this isn't a good way to go if you need a piece soon. I rarely use these mediums but if it is something that you would really like, then I am sure we could find a happy balance.

framing and matting

Unfortunately I do not have the tools for framing and matting, however I do know a few places who do frame and matte. Framing is a little expensive but it is also a major part in displaying a piece beautifully. If you have any questions just let me know. I will be able to give you a rough estimate within 24 hours or sooner.
